Bandits stormed a farm in the village of Anchau in Kubau Municipality, Kaduna State, killing a soldier tasked with protecting the company.

The bandits reportedly kidnapped two staff members, a Zimbabwean national and a Nigerian.

A member of the vigilante group in the area who argued for anonymity told newsmen over the weekend that the bandits raided the farm around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

He said: “Bandits attacked and killed a soldier who worked in a farm business. They also kidnapped a Mr Charles Choko from Zimbabwe and a Yusuf Aliyu Bello from Kano State.”

According to him, a team of security personnel was signaled on Friday that it was going into the bush to rescue the victims.

At the time of the report’s submission, the local government chairman, Bashir Suleiman Zuntu, did not answer his calls.

Even when contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, DSP Mohammed Jalige, was unable to confirm the incident.
