President Muhammadu Buhari has shared the joy of the occasion with the Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Sokoto, Rev. Matthew Hassan Kukah, who is turning 70.

A statement issued Tuesday by Femi Adesina, the president’s special adviser for media and publicity, said Buhari joined the Catholic Church, friends and associates to celebrate the milestone with the priest.

The president noted the contributions of the priest, teacher, scholar and writer to the national debate.

President Buhari prayed that Almighty God would grant Rev. Kukah a longer life, good health, and strength.
