The government of Lagos State has commended the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) through its Reform Coordination and Service Improvement (RCSI) Department for driving reforms and improving services in the country’s capital.

Executive Secretary and Delegation Leader of the Lagos State Office of Transformation, Creativity and Innovation, Mr. Abdulrahman Lekki, gave the honor during a study visit to the FCTA to study the reforms of the administration.

According to Lekki, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu instructed his office to establish reform coordination and service improvement departments in state ministries, departments and agencies as part of efforts to strengthen the state’s civil service. Repositioning Lagos for an effective service.

Lekki said: “During our investigation, we found out that there was a circular at the federal government in 2014 that provided a guideline for the establishment of RCSID in all ministries and it was similar to what we had in mind.

“We did the investigation and presented it to Governor Sanwo-Olu and told him that it was done in Abuja. So we decided to visit Abuja for validation and other reforms in the MDAs.
