Employees of the Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested three internet fraud suspects at Ilorin International Airport as part of the renewed attack on corruption and illegal movement of cash through the national airports.
In a statement from the head, media and publicity agency of the anti-graft agency, Wilson Uwujaren, the suspects are identified as Olawale Ipadeola, Opeyemi Badmus and Wasiu Babatunde.
The suspects were arrested on Monday morning, August 8, 2022, except for Wasiu, whose arrest was made on Saturday, August 6, 2022 following useful information.

“Two of the suspects (Olawale and Opeyemi), who flew in from Lagos, landed at Ilorin airport around 11:56 am in the waiting hands of the eagle-eyed agents of the EFCC at the airport.
“Preliminary investigations into their activities have revealed that the suspects had multiple fraudulent documents on the devices.
“When questioned, the suspects admitted to the crime and admitted that they had several brands of phones and laptops that they had recovered during the arrest.
“The suspects will be brought to justice after the ongoing investigation.”
