A traditional frontline ruler in Ekiti State, the Oore of Otun in the Moba Local Government Area, Oba Adekunle Adeagbo, has said that Ms. Bisi Fayemi, wife of Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, will be honored with a traditional title in its field in recognition of her outstanding leadership skills and roles in human development.

Oba Adeagbo said that in recognition of the attributes, his community won the title of leader of
Fiwajoye of Otun Ekiti Mobaland on the governor’s wife.

The monarch said prominent personalities and traditional leaders, including the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, would be in the ancient Otun community to be part of the ceremony.

The supreme ruler of Mobaland, in a statement on Otun Ekiti on Sunday entitled: ‘Erelu Bisi Fayemi to be given the title of leader’, urged Nigerians to celebrate with the governor’s wife on the occasion.

He said: “The traditional title is to celebrate the unique characters, to be emulated, of Erelu Fayemi and in recognition of her leadership qualities and roles in Nigerian society and at the global level.”

The traditional ruler said the exploits of the governor’s wife as a gender equality activist, philanthropist and advocate for the protection of children’s rights could never go unnoticed and unacclaimed.
