Photos of Nigeria’s Super Falcons sleeping on seats and floor at a Turkish airport in Istanbul, Turkey, have surfaced online.

The team would travel from Costa Rica with a 24-hour layover in Istanbul.

Collin Udoh, a former Super Eagles media official, posted the photos to his social media pages, saying: “Nigeria’s #Falconets have been en route from Costa Rica since 6:30 a.m. Monday.

“They are now in Istanbul with a 24-hour layover and sleeping on the seats and floor of the airport, or wherever they can find.”

The PUNCH reported that the Falconets pulled out of the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup on Sunday after a 2-0 defeat to the Netherlands.
