The management of FirstBank of Nigeria has debunked a report stating that the head office or branch has been sealed.

A statement released Friday by Kehinde Taiwo of the bank’s Marketing & Corporate Communications Department stated: “Our attention has been drawn to the news reports online containing the conflicting claims that the FirstBank branch or head office has been sealed.

“Please note that the story being referenced is a misrepresentation of the facts and is misleading.

“Neither our branch nor our head office was sealed. On August 4, 2022, there was an illegal execution at the Coomassie House Branch of the bank of a seizure order issued by a federal high court in Abuja, which the bank is still challenging in court.

“While the bank has taken appropriate legal action to address the situation, we want to reassure our customers with unimpeded banking services and a unique customer experience across all our branches and through our numerous alternative channels.”
