LANDOVER Aviation Business School (LABS) has once again produced the Best Performer in Nigeria in the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Foundation’s July 2022 Diet in Travel and Tourism Course.

According to the aviation school management, Mr. Eze Victor Ugorji, who turned out to be the top performing graduate, with an award in the July 2022 IATA course, was crowned IATA’s Overall Best Performer in Nigeria in a colorful ceremony at the LABS Training School in Lagos.

Ugorji’s rise made him the 9th prize winner produced by LABS since 2012, and the first man.

LABS had produced IATA Best Performers in Nigeria in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 and in 2019, 2020 and 2022 which, according to the school, had distinguished the school as one of the best aviation training centers in West Africa.

Commenting on the achievement, Ms. Aduke Atiba, Executive Director of Landover Company Limited, praised Ugorji for the outstanding performance while urging him to be relentless in knowledge development.

While Atiba emphasized the right attitude, good character, and continued exposure as catalysts for career and life success, Atiba praised Ugorji’s background as an IT developer and an eager learner.

Our alumni hold key positions in leading aviation organizations in Nigeria and across West Africa and we are delighted that Mr. Ugorji has joined this pool of highly trained professionals. In a similar vein, LABS’s Chief Instructor, Captain Adedayo Awobokun, credited the quality of the instructors at the school to the outstanding performance of the school’s students over the years.

His words: “The LABS faculty consists of experienced and hands-on aviation professionals with the right mix of theoretical and practical knowledge. The greatest joy for any teacher is when you see your student not only succeeding, but also succeeding well. Today we celebrate Mr. Ugorji and the LABS instructors.”

Commenting on his performance, Ugorji thanked Almighty God, his family and the instructors who were there for him every step of the way, saying: “I have served as a manager in my family business and I always try to make room for personal development. a lot of effort and sacrifice with a lot of inconvenience, but I came out successful. Thank you all for making it possible and for celebrating me today.”
