The chairman of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Osun state, Wale Adebayo, has lashed out at whom he described as a “couple of renegades who assign party positions to themselves under the guise of holding our party’s congresses.”
In a statement signed by Adebayo in Osogbo, the capital of Osun state, on Sunday, he vowed to deal firmly with “invaders determined to use the party for their selfish motive”.

e implied) “who at some point before the recent gubernatorial election paraded himself as the chairman of the Allied Peoples Movement in the state, but he was vehemently rejected by the Electoral Referee (INEC) for not being duly recognized by the Constitution of our party.
“The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the governorship election duly recognized our candidate in the poll.
“We want to ask the so-called man and his cohorts why they are determined to destabilize the APM.”
He said: “The so-called congress being held today in Osogbo can best be described as a gathering of jesters, who only entertain themselves.
“As a party, we have held our district and local government conventions. We’ve set the state convention for August 10, 2022. If they are popular within the party, let them test their power.
“As a law-abiding party, we have promptly notified the Ministry of State Security, the Nigerian Police and other security agencies to bring this meddling intruder to order.
“Let it be known that he is not a member of the Allied Peoples Movement in Osun State.”
