Kogi State Police Command has arrested a middle-aged man for killing his friend and burying his dead body at his own home in Lokoja, Kogi State.

Tribune Online has reliably established that the incident took place in Felele, in Lokoja, where the late Kehinde lived with his family.

The middle-aged man (name withheld) killed his friend, the late Mr. Kehinde Ajayi, on Sunday, July 24, 2022, who had just purchased a Toyota Sienna ash color with registration number LSD 228 HJ.

The source added that the arrested killer who is repairing air conditioning tricked the late Kehinde into joining them at about 10 a.m. to celebrate the new car he had just bought.

The source further revealed that the late Kehinde and others went to an unknown place but were never seen again.

When the late Kehinde’s family reported the missing person to the police, one of his friends was arrested last week who was a suspect and he provided useful information about what happened to the late Kehinde.

The source said the suspect took off in his car after killing him.

He reportedly took the police officers to his own home on Monday where he is said to have buried Kehinde’s body.

However, some angry youths who were nearby when police found the body attacked the suspect’s home after the body was dug up from the house by police.

Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer of the Kogi State Police, SP William Ayah, confirmed the incident.

He informed Tribune Online that the body of the late Kehinde has been recovered and that an investigation is ongoing to arrest others who may have been involved in the late Kehinde’s murder.
