“According to him, we are here today to pick up 39 of you who have been promoted from DSP to SP. The IGP has found you suitable for this promotion, after approval of the Police Commission.
“These authorities have all your records and have examined your efforts with the police and found you worthy of a promotion.
“You can receive new messages from today, and wherever your message takes you, you must serve the police well. The force will not tolerate any kind of bad behavior from you. What the IG has done through promotion and other welfare packages is make sure your morale is high so we don’t tolerate less of you.”
The commando spokesman, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, who led the decoration exercise, said the large number of newly promoted officers from Anambra showed that the efforts of men and officers of the commando in the fight against crime have not gone unnoticed.
