Social Democratic Party presidential candidate Prince Adewole Adebayo held a closed-door meeting with Warri’s Olu, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, on Tuesday.
The negotiation, according to sources, was held at the monarch’s private residence in Warri, Delta State.
It was learned that the visit was part of ongoing consultations with Prince Adebayo, an international lawyer and owner of KAFTAN TV, to fulfill his presidential ambition.
Arriving at the private residence of Atuwatse III, who recently celebrated his one-year anniversary on the throne, the SDP presidential candidate, driving a Rolls Royce, was led to the monarch by Prince Yemi Emiko, a member of the royal family.
Our correspondent learned that shortly after an exchange of pleasantries and a photo shoot with the traditional ruler, the SDP presidential candidate entered a closed-door meeting with Atuwatse III.
Details of the closed-door meeting could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report, but insiders say it may not be unrelated to the 2023 general election.
In the entourage of the SDP’s presidential candidate were some members of his campaign organization led by Mr. Godwin Osigbeme and the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Delta State chief Kenneth Gbagi.
