Osun state governor Adegboyega Oyetola has said his faith in the Nigerian judiciary regarding his petition to the electoral tribunal remains steadfast and unwavering.

Oyetola had asked the Osogbo Electoral Tribunal to annul the election of the People’s Democratic Party governor candidate, Ademola Adeleke.

According to the governor, the election was accompanied by some irregularities.

Oyetola said he and his party, the All Progressives Congress, are confident of victory at the tribunal.

The governor said this during the annual celebration of Photo and Videography Day and raising money for the construction of the association’s state-of-the-art N20 million hall in Osogbo on Sunday.

Represented by his special adviser on citizen participation, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, the governor said he was confident he would reclaim his mandate at the tribunal.

He said: “For now there is a little setback and challenge, but I want to assure you that we are standing and confident in the win.

“With what we have before the tribunal, there is no cause for alarm.

“We believe that by the grace of God we will glorify God and celebrate our victory,” he said.

The governor appreciated the people of the state for their support of his government since the beginning.

He also praised the members of the association for their support of his government and assured them of continued government support for the growth of their business.

In his comments, the association’s president, Isaac Adegoke, said the association’s members were direct beneficiaries of the governor’s people-centered programs.

Issac noted that members of the association stood firmly behind the governor and would continue to support him in prayers that he would emerge victorious at the tribunal.

Also, the Elerinrin of Ile-Ife, Oba Olaoluwa Mudasiru, who is the immediate former president of the association, praised the governor for his development steps in the state.

Oba Mudasiru also appreciated the governor for his support of the association.
