Applications for the CVCEPHOTO International Mountain Photo Contest 2023 are open.
The purpose of the CVCEPHOTO contest is to promote mountain activities through photography, and also serve as a meeting place and promotion of the authors.
It counts with the collaboration of the Bilbao Mendi Film Festival, a mountain film competition affiliated with the International Alliance for Mountain Film. The CVCEPHOTO competition values, in addition to the creativity and aesthetic quality of the works, the value of the activity reflected in them, counting for this with a jury formed by mountain photographers and expert mountaineers.
Theme/categories: “MOUNTAIN ACTIVITY” means any image related to sports activities (non-motorized) that take place on mountains. For example: alpinism, climbing, skiing, trekking, caving, paragliding…
Prices
- 1st Prize: €1,400 + Exclusive and unique trophy created by the artist Iñigo Arístegui
- 2nd award: €700
- 3rd award: €300
- 17 Honorable Mentions: Diplomas

Eligibility criteria for
- Open to all amateur or professional photographers;
- Applicant can be of any age or nationality.
How to apply
- Each participant may submit a maximum of 3 photos.
- All finalists will receive files in RAW format of their photos.
- Works must be submitted in JPEG format, with a minimum width of 1,600 pixels (for landscape format) or 1,200 pixels wide (for portrait format), converted to sRGB color space (profile will be embedded in the file).
- Maximum file size: 2 megabytes.
